ISM has decided to pay for its employees’, who have below a certain salary, children to receive education. Education in India is very poor; however, there have been efforts to raise the education systems in India. CEO Divan Dave firmly believes that, “Illiteracy is unacceptable and we must create an environment where every child can study. Due to poverty, many parents in India take their children out of the schools to eke out daily living, leaving child almost illiterate. This vicious cycle must be broken. ISM/OmniMD will make sure all of its employees’ children go to school fulltime up to high school.” By ensuring that its employees send their children to school, ISM is taking a step forward in contributing to ending the illiteracy rates in India.
